Wellness sessions are designed to enhance your movement performance and fitness through strength training and conditioning. Principles of biomechanics are utilized to improve your movement quality and reduce your risk of injury. Private sessions and group classes are available. In-depth Movement Screenings are completed during the first session to tailor the program to your needs. Wellness sessions are not formal Physical Therapy; meaning they are not eligible for Superbills. If needed, the client can transition to Physical Therapy services and seek out additional medical consultation.
Frequently Asked Questions
Wellness sessions are designed for injury prevention, conditioning, and performance optimization. Physical therapy focuses on treating an active injury. Wellness is ideal once pain is managed — or for healthy dancers who want to elevate their strength, flexibility, and technique.
No. These sessions are open to both dancers transitioning out of PT and healthy dancers who want to stay strong, reduce injury risk, and prepare for a successful season.
Every session is led by a licensed physical therapist, not a trainer or fitness instructor. You get clinical-level guidance with a performance-focused approac
Yes. The entire program is structured around injury prevention, strengthening, and optimizing movement patterns so dancers can perform at their highest level without unnecessary strain.

No diagnosis or referral is needed. Wellness is available to any dancer who wants expert coaching to stay healthy and perform at their best.

Proactive Performance Care for Dancers
Not injured — but want to stay that way? Wellness sessions are for dancers who are training hard and want to move better, prevent injuries, and perform at their highest level. If you or your dancer is healthy right now and you want to keep it that way, this is the right service. Most injuries do not happen suddenly. They build over weeks of small compensations, tight muscles, and movement patterns that have not been addressed. Wellness sessions are how we catch those things before they become something serious.
What Wellness Sessions Include:
Movement screening A clinical assessment of how your dancer moves — identifying compensation patterns, asymmetries, and vulnerabilities before they become injuries.
Performance enhancement Targeted mobility, stability, and movement quality work to help your dancer move more efficiently and perform at a higher level.
Muscle care Hands-on soft tissue work to address soreness, restrictions, and tension from high-volume training. This is clinical-grade muscle care — not a massage.
Injury risk reduction A proactive approach to identifying and addressing the factors most likely to cause injury in your dancer's specific body and training load.
Pointe readiness assessment A comprehensive assessment of ankle, foot, and hip strength and mobility to determine readiness for pointe work — and a roadmap for getting there.
Mini sessions 30 minute focused sessions for maintenance, check-ins, or targeted work between major sessions.
